The National Textile Museum celebrates one of Malaysia\u2019s most enduring forms of cultural expression: textiles. Housed within a historic building once associated with trade and administration, the museum reflects the long relationship between fabric, craft and social life in the Malay world.<\/p>

For centuries, textiles have carried meaning beyond function. Songket, batik, tenun and embroidery recorded status, belief, ritual and regional identity. Patterns spoke of ancestry, colours conveyed symbolism and techniques were passed down through generations of makers.<\/p>

Today, Muzium Tekstil Negara preserves and presents this living heritage. Through curated exhibitions and educational programmes, it explores the artistry, innovation and cultural narratives woven into Malaysian textiles.
